The spring real estate market definitely came in like a lion. Rising employment, low mortgage rates and very tight inventory have created a buying frenzy. Homes sold within days of being listed – often for over asking price – further frustrating buyers who are facing a serious lack of homes to choose from.
SEAHAWKS COACH PETE CARROLL SELLS HUNTS POINT HOME FOR 6.1 MILLION
After two consecutive Super Bowl appearance, it looks like Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll is upgrading. Carroll has sold his Hunts Point home for $6.1 million, per PSBJ. It's curious timing only because Carroll and his wife Glena just bought the house last May, paying $5.9M for it. Either they're making an upgrade or they really don't like the neighbors. The 1999 3-BR is 3,860 sf and includes four bathrooms, a detached guest suite, deep moorage dock and private beach. The house had previously been owned by a company managed by Sally Nordstrom and is now the property of local power-couple Jimmy and Patty Barrier. Don't expect the sale to mean Carroll is leaving Seattle, he recently signed a new contract and there's been no indication he's unhappy with his situation. Just his house, apparently.
