LOCAL MARKET UPDATE

The spring real estate market definitely came in like a lion. Rising employment, low mortgage rates and very tight inventory have created a buying frenzy. Homes sold within days of being listed – often for over asking price – further frustrating buyers who are facing a serious lack of homes to choose from.

Eastside Equestrian Life Business of the month for April

I was 11 years old and getting ready for my very first A circuit hunter/jumper show. I was excited, nervous and thrilled all at once. My mother took me by the hand and we went to Olson’s Tack Shop in Bellevue to pick out my very first show jacket. It was hunter green with brass buttons and a velvet collar. I remember the feel of the soft velvet brushing up against my skin as I slipped the jacket on. I don’t think I had ever worn anything lined with satin before! I still get that happy giddy feeling today when I walk into Olson’s. The smell of new leather boots and the look of crisp clean saddle pads lined up like soldiers spell pure joy to me.

But it’s not just the products Olson’s carries that sets them apart. Their excellent customer service is bar none. Every staff member is at the ready to help you from troubleshooting the best bit for your horse, to fitting your saddle. From the very beginner rider buying her first helmet to the Grand Prix pro competitors, Olson’s never fails to deliver everything a horse and rider could ever need. No wonder they have been in business for over 65 years and are one of the oldest and most established businesses in Bellevue. Olson’s has grown and evolved over the years but it remains the Eastside’s premier shopping destination for all products equine related.
